BRIT AWARDS IN THE UK
The most prestigious and biggest nights in the music calendar of the UK are all the rage this season and we just can’t wait for them. There’s never quite anything like the Brit Awards- from all those swaying, touching music to Madonna’s tumbling, there's always so much action every time in the show that we can’t get over with.
The last year’s award ceremony witnessed some outclass performances (talking about Ed & Stormzy especially) and numerous elated music stars bagging a much deserved reward for all their hard work. That said and done, the star-studded show is all set to be held on the 21st of February this year and will once again return to its very own The O2 London another memorable night of music richness and goodness for the eighth year consecutively.
The legendary award show will reveal which artists or brands have got their hands on the much sought-after BRIT Awards trophies in various categories/nominations including MasterCard British Album of the Year, British Breakthrough and British Single.
Greater than ever before, here’s all what you need to know about this year’s rocking Brit awards and what to expect!
Who has been nominated for the BRIT Awards?
The nominees for this year were announced on an exclusive live show, fronted by Emma Willis, with performances from the hottest British gifts like Paloma Faith and Liam Payne on BBC on January 13.
In one of the biggest brushoffs in the awards' history, renowned singer Sam Smith failed to be nominated for even a single prize. That leaves the route pretty much clear for the all-conquering and rising star Ed Sheeran to grab a hatful of gongs at the respected ceremony.
Only Dua Lipa, who’s bagged five nominations, much thanks to her outstanding debut album, succeeded in beating him when it came to racking-up nominations.
Who’ll be performing at the BRIT Awards?
Brit award 2018’s list of performers highlights the most influential and finest of international and British stars.
The Sun's Bizarre column revealed exclusively that the headline act will feature none other than the much-loved Justin Timberlake – 15 years post he touched Kylie's Minogue’s bum on the stage in a scandalous BRITs moment.
Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy have also confirmed to perform among the dazzling line-up, so has Rag'n'Bone Man, who also relished a stellar 2017.
Foo Fighter and Dua Lipa have also been pronounced among the top acts that’ll be gracing the grand stage on the biggest music night of the year.
Hope you enjoy gals 😘
